In 2010 the food was AMAING!!! Steak, beef in sauce, great chicken dishes and so on....

But since coming back from my trip just yesterday (August 2011) the food was just simple AWFUL!!! It was disgusting dried pizza, dry chips, cold nuggets... It was a disgrace and after recommending it to my entire family, upon looking at the food, I was totally embarrassed... I refused to eat there as did my family but the manager insisted I payed the full 23 euro's each (10 of us), he swore at us so we all just got up and left.

This is a place to miss off of your meal ideas as are most eateries in Disneyland Paris!

Had a great evening meal here using our halfboard plus vouchers. As usual, all the staff were superb. The place itself is decorated as a western saloon/show bar and had a great feel to the place. The all you can eat buffett had a superb slection and all food was fresh. The puddings were superb and the kids and adults alike loved it. The character visits were superb..lots of different characters constantly walking around (if anything too much...kept having to get up and take photos when I should have been eating my dinner!) We had a great experience here and found it better than the character breakfast we had to pay extra for! We will defo go back!

There were alot more characters at Cafe Mickey and I felt Cafe Mickey was better value for money. My children loved it

Great atmosphere. This is a great place for lunch for children, the characters came around to all the tables, granted it was not very busy but it is extremely expensive for what you get. We did have lunch and dinner vouchers in our package so at 12.30 I was going to use our lunch vouchers but ended up having to use the dinner ones as it would have been €28 per adult and it was NOT worth that. If we did not have vouchers I would not go. The staff were the worst in the whole trip.

This used to be an ordinary restaurant, but Disney made the right decision to change it to a Character buffet. Good choice of foods, including mexican dishes.Good value with the half board plus which cost 21 pounds adult price inc soft drink.
Characters come to your table for photos, video, autographs. There is a small orchestra playing on stage.Worth trying even if you don't have small children. My older boys love the buffet, and like eating there.

Thursday the 23rd of July I was with my family at the Tea with Mickey and all other characters. My sister's little boy and girl were very enthousiastic. The rest of the day they were talking about how many furry hands they shook! It's very nice to see them so overwhelmed by the experience.

I made a little chat with Bella, one of the ladies of the house, and she was also very helpful in informing me about possiblities of working at Disney. Maybe in the future I will play Tigger or Goofy!

Kind regards from the Netherlands! Walter

fabulous! We went in July 2009 and it was a brilliant buffet - best food we had whilst there; certainly better than the 2, more pricey table service we went to. Characters were quality and had great interactions; other kids who came up to us out of turn were politely acknowledged and then ignored! We'd go back again and again, but unfortunatley only found it on our last day!

We visited Disney in June 2009 and booked the Lucky Nugget having read some good reviews and wanted to go somewhere the children would meet characters. For that reason its great although be prepared for a bum fight with the parents over autographs. Characters do come to all the tables but as they nip in and out you assume they aren't going to return and parents start to panic their children have missed the boat. Eventually you realise the only way you will see them is to do the same so be prepared! Goofy is the only character who didn't come to the tables that weren't on the main floor as he's too busy having fun with the kids - as you'd expect - so if you can be patient he's really the only one you have to queue up for. We saw Mickey, Pluto, Friar Tuck, Smee, Goofey, Tigger so children were more than happy. Food wise, probably 3/5, not bad choice although food not piping hot but worth going for the characters. Recommend half board plus as saves you some money.

We reserved our table and had booked the half board option - half board is very good value for money. Plenty of characters who were happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs - if you don't chase the characters they will come to your table. We had a Character lunch here in September 2007 which was very disappointing. although we had a reservation we needed to wait 25 minutes to get seated. Only two Characters came to our table. And the food was described as Tex Mex but it was not. There were very tasteless salads and pasta and undercooked meatballs. The dessert buffet wasn't satisfying too. We made our reservation for the Lucky Nugget through the Town Hall in Main Street for Wednesday 16th January at 2pm.

We arrived early at 1.30pm expecting it to be quite busy due to some earlier reviews but we were seated straight away on the 1st level just above the dessert counter.

We ordered a large bottle of Vittel mineral water and our waitress brought it to us and we were quite surprised to see that it was in a large 1 litre glass bottle and it was called 'Vittel Gourmet' - this was served ice cold with 2 wine glasses and it only cost us 3,40 euros which is exceptionally good value (when compared to the 5,90 euros i paid for 2 standard bottles of Coc-Cola in the park).

We were able to eat straight away and there was a nice selection of food (not quite as tex-mex as i would have thought though): tortilla chips, salad bar, prawn cocktail, boiled eggs, soup, bread rolls, pasta, spaghetti bolagnase, meatballs, mickey chicken shapes, steak, casserole, 4 cheese tortellini, large selection of desserts inc mini milk ice-creams.

We had well and was very full by the end of our meal.

In regards to the charachters, it was the highlight of our trip without a doubt - it was quite empty so we pretty much had them all to ourselves - they come around every table so there's no need to have your children running around after them (obviously some of the french parents didn't know this!!!). They take the time to sign autographs and pose for photo's plus they like to play around too. King John made my little sister bow before him (quite literally!).

Every 15 minutes the charachters are replaced. We were in there for a good hour and a half. After we finished our meal we shared a plate of tortilla chips and another bottle of mineral water whilst waiting for new charachters to come out. In that time we saw many charachters inc:
- Mickey Mouse
- Minnie Mouse
- Pluto
- Goofy
- Chip
- Dale
- King John
- Friar Tuck
- The Sheriff
- Robin Hood
- The Genie from Aladdin
- Wendall
- Big Al
- Donald Duck
We were pretty much one of the last to leave so the charachters seemed to spend alot of time with us taking photo's, staging arguments between the goodies and baddies and dancing in front of us - if i'm totally honest i'd have paid for that alone never mind the yummy food.

The only downside was paying for the meal at the end of it all - it came to 50,80 euros (30 euros for me, 15 euros for my little sister and 6,80 for our water). I gave the waitress 60 euros and she made to take off with the rest as change so i handed her a 5 euro note and asked for the change from the 60 euro note - she walked off expecting to kepp ALL of it as a tip so i had to wait for her to come back with the rest of it and she said she was confused and seemed to be quite rude to us. She had brought back everything as changed, snatched a 5 euro note from it and said 'this is mine' and pushing the rest of the change towards us - so be aware - they DO expect a large tip = make sure you double check your change.

Overall i'd say this was a great place to eat if you have kids or not, and very good value too - but do try to eat a little bit later to make the most of your visit :-)

While we were eating, various characters came in which spent lots of time with each guest. We were with two adults, but that didn't matter.

We had booked our character meal here before arriving at Disneyland Paris and I was a bit worried after reading the details on this site that vegetarians were not catered for but whilst there was not an extensive vegetarian choice it was adequate. There was a huge choice of starters, main courses and some lovely desserts. For kids there was pasta with a choice of sauces, meatballs, pizza, nuggets, bolognaise, mixed vegetables and chips! I had couscous, boiled eggs and tortilla chips as a starter then a mixed bag of chips, pasta and a tomato and basil sauce and then a selection of maybe 4 desserts. For my meat eater husband it was like being in heaven.
The highlight of course was meeting the characters! They do work their way round every single table to sign autographs and pose for photos but one word of advice for other parents - don't send your kids running after the characters - they will get to you. If kids follow the characters around then it slows everything down. The characters start off at different points and in the end you will have met them all. My daughter screamed her head off when she saw Captain Hook but one of the other characters came to sit with her, dry her tears and reassure her - a lovely touch. I did prefer Cafe Mickey but this was cheaper - my husband said he'd eat in either one though. Defnitely worth considering!

We had a character lunch here in october with a party of nine (4 adults, 5 children in the age of 1 to 9). The food was quite good and there certainly was a lot of choice in that department. The downside was the character interaction (Gepetto, friar Tuck, Gideon and Pluto if I recall correctly). We had to wait quite a long time before they passed our table and there was not much interaction, which of course was a disappointment for the kids as a character lunch for them is more about the characters than lunch. The thing I, as an adult disliked was the fact we were seated in a long line. It was very hard to have a bit of a conversation with our friends.

While waiting for your room at 3:00 p.m., the kids can get their first interactions with Disney Characters without waiting in line.
