Bad

We booked this for the last night of our holiday. To be frank the food and the service were awful. Dispite booking we had to queue outside for ages. You are then made to pay up front ( over 150 euro for family of 4) and presented with a drinks receipt for proof of purchase. We were put at a table far too small with an extra chair shoved in that was touching the family behind us table. The table also wobbled (with kids riggling very annoying, at one point we were on the floor trying to put paper napkins under a leg). After around 20 minutes a waiter came over and took our drink voucher. We asked if we could go up to the buffet but he just went off to get our drinks. The buffet was very average and most of the food lukewarm. The pasta was cold by the time we faught our way back to the wobbly table. The drinks eventually arrived about halfway through the process. The classes were small (the kids drank their's in one gulp and started begging for ours ) and not even full. We didn't bother even attempting a desert, just wanted to get out of the place. We made a complaint at the time but were given the brush off. It was the only bad experience of a fantastic holiday. The best place was the Rain Forest Cafe - superb service/food and cheaper. PLAZA GARDENS very expensive for bad service and food you may as well feed to the dog. I have never made a complaint in a restaurant before but this was necessary. A complete ripp off and a first to leave a restaurant hungry.

It was terrible! Me and my friend ate here on our first day/visit and we thought it looked okay so we went in. It was very quiet due to the ongoing parade outside. The quality of the food was horrible. I had some lasagne, sliced pork and potatoes, all of which were only half warm and did not taste good enough for the price we paid. My friend had the same problem, but she said the only thing that was remotely edible were the vegetables. We thought that the choice of hot food offered was very limited. We were very sorry we chose this restaurant to dine at.

Terrible, absolutely eugh!. I have an iron stomach BUT the food was disgusting. Meat pattie burnt on the outside and RAW (mushy raw meat) I had to rip it from my sons mouth before he swallowed it. The buffet was lack, tasteless and disgusting. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the staff were so friendly and it was clean with beautiful decor. But the cook should be sacked for sending food out to the general public like that!

Good

Just got back from Disney on 18/02/2010 and ate at this restaurant twice. We used the Half Board vouchers and would recommend going for this option as the prices otherwise are high.
Although the food was nothing extravagant you can have a very good meal and the kids can find something to have also, pizza, chicken nuggets etc. Alot of the food on offer is either french or Italian and there are plenty of salad and vegetable options, the desserts are fantastic and the choice is great, look out for the crepes in particular as they are tucked away behind the plates.

Even in October (2008) there were BIG queues at 5pm to be seated. Remember you will be very tired by then so suggest you book it!!

There are some good things on the buffet - possible therefore to have a nice meal (though other things are average). Cost was around Euro 19 for an adult.

The restaurant was busy, loud and full. But its nice to have a sit down rather than battle the queues at the counter service places. Would definitely recommend this restuarant. Though for an evening meal it may well be more convenient to eat at your hotel - the first time we went to disneyland we ate here, the second time we ate at the hotel after the park shut (at 6pm).

This restaurant is different to the others as it has a lunch/dinner buffet, and also does Character tea 3pm to 5.30pm.It gets very busy due to its location just off Main Street, so recommend booking. The buffet is a good choice for children, as the food is probably more to their liking than some of the other restaurants, and not as fancy. They will all find something they like here.A good buffet with more traditional choices- meat, salad, fish, vegetables. It has a pleasant outdoor area with umbrellas in warm weather.

To be honest standing in a line while people took food from the buffett using their dirty hands (adults) and then eating(such as chicken wings) whilst in the queue really didn't help with my first impressions of the place.
To be honest although there was a good selection we thought that the food was very poor and I wish I hadn't ate at all as later on I had a few stomach issues. The decor was nice, the staff were efficient but then again you go to a restaurant to eat the food and not admire the decor or speak to the staff.
Only go if you like cold microwave pizza, chicken wings without any chicken, cold chips, hard rice etc etc etc.

Excellent choice! We turn there right after first parade, very cold and hungry. After short wait in queue (10 min the most) got our table. Waiter take drink order very quickly(one non alcoholic drink included in buffet meal). I had glass of wine, kid- glass of sprite. Although it was quite busy time of the day (around 18.30), we have easy asses to buffet row.Food was delusions and healthy. Several of different salads, hot meats, fish, and roast vegetables. There were some prawns and freshly made cr?pes. Good chose of deserts and fruits. And all of that cost us only 20 euro for adult and 10 for child plus 3.5euro for glass of table wine! A would definitely recommend that restaurant! Service was a bit slow, but place was very busy, and it give us chance to rest after busy day.5 stars!

We enjoyed a birthday tea party with the characters at Plaza Gardens (5pm). One of our party was celebrating a birthday and was served a cake and given a Mickey Mouse too! There were loads of characters mingling and it was fun. Do bear in mind if you book this it says a buffet but it is a limited buffet with lots of cakes and you are in and out in the hour (the buffet closes). You can drink as much tea/coffee as you require. Do not book this birthday tea if you want a full meal. Kids loved it and again great to meet the characters face to face and get lots of photos. Beware of other parents pushing their children forward to meet the characters whilse you are busy trying to get your time with them at your table though!
Great fun hour but felt a bit rushed (especially with kids who don't do fast eating!)

We had dinner here on a Saturday in Septembre. It was a disappointment... The table setting was more like a diner than a restaurant, with paper tablecloths and paper napkins. The food was of very poor quality: not fresh, bad and very varying taste. There were some chicken
legs which tasted like bacon and where very skinny and fat. The lasagne was bad-tasting, the meat dishes were dry (overdone) and the salads weren't much better. The first try of chicken nuggets was OK, but the second was very bad (dry; you couldn't taste the chicken anymore because they had been fried too long).
And for all this bad food we paid way too much.

We strongly recommend you not to go to this restaurant!!!

March 16, 2007. Stopped here on impluse for a late lunch on a visit to the park, 5 hungry adults. We didn't have a reservation and the hostess clearly didn't care whether we got in or not, but after about a half hour wait, we were admitted. Lots of good food on the buffet - pasta entrees, vegetables, some meat, lots of fish, and good desserts, and replenished as it ran low. The staff was very busy. Unlike other reviews I have read here, the place was very clean, waitress was polite. We will go back for lunch when we visit this park again - but may make a reservation and go earlier in the day.

I had booked the birthday party for my son's 4th Birthday as a special treat. Firstly we were not given any tickets at our hotel, then we all had to wait in a very long queue before we were greated by a member of staff who offered us an extremely poor service. She insisted that we pay again as we did not have tickets, then return with our original tickets after which she would then arrange for a refund of our original payment! The whole experience was certainly not 'Disney'. Ofter my husband negotiated further for 20 minutes we eventually were seated, not given any instructions as to what to do next. We then fumbled our way around the sweets buffet (which was basic to say the least) and then we were greated by the characters (which is the only good thing about it-but you can get that included as you walk down Main Street) I would not recomment this to anyone-very poor service and experience - stick to Cafe Mickey.

There was lots of choices including pizza, meatballs, potato wedges, pastas, salads and a huge range of deserts including chocolate mouse, cheesecake, brownies and cookies. For just 25 Euros per adult it's definitely worth it.
The only thing that was a problem was that we arrived at the start of the childrens party with the characters and although we were supposed to be in a different queue as we had reservations there was no clear sign telling us this and we ended up having to queue along with the children. We had dinner at this restaurant on March 3rd. We arrived at 5.30 pm and were seated without any waiting (we had no reservations). At this time the restaurant was quite empty. During the time we were eating it filled up, but there still were lots of free tables when we left (around seven). Our server (forgot her name) was a very friendly and attentive Lady. As we all have Dream passes we were entitled to a free apperative. Marco and I had the Kir, the kids a coke.
The restaurant has an all you can eat buffet with a good selection of salads, meats, vegetables etc. We ate several things and liked most of it.
There was enough to please our picky kids, such as potatoe wedges, bread rolls and meat balls.
I myself especially liked the haricots verts (with garlic, butter and onion I think).
As dessert the kids ate cookies, brownies and candies. I had a serving of the chocolate mousse and the tiramisu. The chocolate mousse had a funny taste, didn't enjoy that as much as I could have. The Tiramisu was ok. Best of all, without any doubt, was the apricot pie.
All in all an enjoyable experience due to the atmosphere and good, but not great, food. Ideal to have a pieceful dinner without having to leave the park!
